Malaysia is mostly a muslim country but there is a small community of people brought from India by the British.
They still do Hindu celebrations that are now forbiden in most contries.
After fasting for several days, some guys walk around town with a large and very heavy hat on their head to do penance. To increase the pain, they have hooks, piercing the skin of their torso, connected to the hat by metal chains. Just like in Europe’s Middle Age...
