June 1992. Bulla Regia. Roman ruins in Tunisia:

This city was built by the Romans back when they where the masters of North Africa. Most of the houses were build partly underground, apparently to get away from the heat.

So the lower level of those houses is very well preserved, especially the mosaics.

stop software patents
Say NO to software patents!

The European Union is considering software patents in Europe. This is a danger for software authors and software companies who do not use and do not need the patent system to innovate. They must be protected from owners of dubious granted patents.
